This release we are including several target features we believe will enrich the offering.
Charge Out Rate
Under Admin > Manage Users you will see a new column for hourly charge out rate against each team member. This will allow you to enter the current, and historic charge out rates for individuals.
In doing so you will be able to set targets based on expected billable hours x charge out rate on their personal timesheets.
Part-time/Full-time support – Employee Profile
Under Admin > Manage Users you can now click on the team member’s name and you will see their employee profile.
The employee profile includes information which we use to calculate targets, including employee city, state and country (for the purposes of public holidays) and their full-time/part-time status.
Note: employee location comes from the source data which, at the moment, is your Practice Management Software.
If you mark someone as “part time” we can use this to more accurately reflect some targets that are based on daily expectations, such as hours per day targets or hours x charge rate per day.
Targets affected by PT/FT:
- Personal Effort only
- Total hours per day
- Billable hours per day
- Hours x Charge Out Rate
Note: Flat targets and multiple of salary targets are not affected. In the case of flat targets we assume you have set this for a reason, and we do not pro-rata. In the case of multiple of salary we assume the salary is already reflective of the employee’s part-time status.
Cell view on Create Target screen
While creating a target, we have now created a new cell view which will display the expected target for everyone over the financial year based on your entries in the form. You can change the financial year view on this screen to analyse what will happen in different months (particularly handy if you have a different financial year, such as April to April).
This should hopefully allow users to get confidence in the targets they are setting.
In the cell you will see the expected value of the target as well as the number of working days in each month. If a user is part-time, their monthly target value may differ from full-time employees.
Status of target
We have included a status of target in the manage targets screen, to show which targets are active/inactive (past) or will come into effect in the future, with the ability to filter.
