Hi Everyone,

We have now brought salaries into the system to allow you to create budgets based on salary.

Where to find salaries:

The new salary field can be found as a column in the Manage Users setting under Administration. This means that only people set as Admins can see salaries. Admins should already be the most trusted people at the organisation so we hope this is a good place for the data entry.

How to enter salaries:

If a person has no salary it is as simple as clicking in the field and typing. You can also tab through the form (including the drop downs) making it easy to just go through and set everything up.

If the person already has a salary in the system, or you would like to add historical salaries to the system for reporting purposes, you can enter the current value and then re-click on that value. This will bring up our editing pop up where you can now add salaries with “start dates”. The system will then slot in that salary where ever it fits in the timeline and will calculate budgets based on whatever salary was active for that budget at the time.

Using salaries in budget

We have now unlocked the “based on salary” selection. You can select this for an individual and then anything you add in will be a multiplier of that salary. For instance, if someone is expected to post 3x their salary in billable fees per annum you can enter this in. If they are expected to invoice 4x their salary on files for which they are the responsible lawyer, this is also available.

We are really excited about this functionality but, as always, we would love to hear your feedback. If you do have feedback you can email me at tom.angove@workzilla.co and I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you,

Tom
