Add a charge-out rate to a staff member

Steps to manually add or update a charge-out rate for a staff member in Workzilla.

What you'll have at the end A charge-out rate is saved against the staff member and will be used in any charge-out rate targets.

    Navigate to Administration > Manage Users

    Locate the staff member in the Hourly Charge Out Rate column

    No existing rate
    Type the rate directly into the field
    The field accepts numerical values only and saves automatically. You can tab through to the next staff member to enter rates in sequence.

    Existing rate present
    Click the existing figure to open the charge-out rate history modal
    This shows the full rate history for that staff member, including all past values and their start dates.

    Enter the new hourly rate and set a start date, then click Add
    The rate inserts itself into the history in chronological order. If the start date is the most recent on record, it becomes the current rate. A rate with no start date is treated as the earliest rate on record. A target icon next to an existing entry indicates a target is relying on that value — take care before deleting it.

    Click Save changes
    Historical rate values are retained so that past reporting remains accurate.
The charge-out rate is saved and will apply to any charge-out rate targets from the relevant start date.
