Configure leave-adjusted targets
Steps to set the default behaviour for how public holidays and leave affect target values across your firm.
What you'll have at the end
Default public holiday and leave settings are configured and will apply to all new targets going forward.
-
1Navigate to Administration > Company Customisation and select Targets
-
2Under Default Settings, select the public holiday behaviourReduce lowers the target value in periods affected by public holidays. Spread distributes the full target value across remaining workdays instead. For example, if a staff member has a monthly target of $20,000 and a public holiday falls in that month, Reduce lowers the target proportionally; Spread keeps the full $20,000 but recalculates the daily rate across fewer days. This applies to all target types and calculation methods, not just flat targets. This setting does not require Xero.
-
3Select the leave behaviourReduce lowers the target value in periods where a staff member is on approved leave. Spread distributes the full target value across remaining workdays instead. Using the same example, if a staff member with a $20,000 monthly target takes leave, Reduce lowers the target for that period; Spread keeps the full $20,000 but recalculates the daily rate across their remaining working days. This applies to all target types and calculation methods. Xero integration must be connected for leave data to be available.
Settings are saved automatically and will apply to all new targets. Existing targets are not affected — to update an individual target, edit it directly in Manage Targets.
