Go to Administration > Manage Targets

Select the target type tab

Choose Individual Targets for a specific staff member, or Team Targets for an entire team. Company Targets is not yet available.

Select Add Target

Select the staff member or team

This is the entity the target belongs to and whose actuals will count toward it. Multiple staff members or teams can be selected.

Set the "Based on" field

Choose Personal performance (fees and hours recorded directly on the staff member's timesheets) or Matter performance (fees and hours on any matter where the staff member holds a nominated matter relationship, such as responsible lawyer).

Choose the target type

Options are Billable fees, Fees invoiced, Fees collected, Fees collected (sans credits), Total hours, or Billable hours.

Set the calculation method

Flat amount enters a fixed dollar or hour value. Multiple of annual salary and Charge out rate multiple calculate dynamically — note that the charge out rate method requires the target to be based on Personal performance.

Enter the target amount or multiplier

For flat targets, enter the dollar or hour value. For salary or charge out rate multiples, enter the multiplier (e.g. 3 for 3× annual salary).

Set the target frequency

Choose Month, Quarter, or Year.

Configure public holiday and leave handling

Choose Reduce to lower the target value in periods affected, or Spread to distribute the value across remaining workdays. Leave reduction requires the Xero integration to be connected.

Set the start month

Select Save
